Second Goleniów line to add 300 jobs
Vestas is expanding its Goleniów blade factory in Poland with a second production line for the V172 EnVentus turbine.
The company said the move will double production capacity and require more than 300 new hires.
Vestas added that it took over the plant from LM Wind Power in September 2025 as part of a wider strategy to grow its European manufacturing footprint.
Kenneth Kaser, Vestas’ head of blade manufacturing, said: “We are pleased to further strengthen our European manufacturing footprint and workforce to help meet Europe’s need for secure, affordable, and sustainable energy.”
“We see strong potential in Poland’s and neighbouring markets and remain committed to investing in local manufacturing and suppliers to support the region’s energy ambitions and creating meaningful jobs in the local community,” added Kaser.
The company said the factory will employ about 700 people when fully ramped up, increasing its Polish workforce to around 2300.
Vestas also operates an assembly plant in Szczecin producing hubs and nacelles for the V236-15.0MW offshore turbine.
The company stated that the expansion will support local construction activity and bolster opportunities for service and component suppliers, noting it spent more than 300m in Poland last year.
According to the source, WindEurope data shows the European wind supply chain is currently investing over 14bn in new or expanded factories across the region.
