    GWS completes Greater Changhua 2 pre-assembly

    Contractor delivers 66 turbines to schedule

    data-start=”96″ data-end=”222″>Global Wind Service (GWS) has completed the pre-assembly of 66 turbines for the 924MW Greater Changhua 2 offshore wind farm.
    The company said the milestone was achieved in partnership with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, Orsted and crane provider BMS.
    GWS said all milestones were delivered according to both the initial and updated schedule.
    The company said more than 140 technicians were involved in the project’s execution.
    GWS said the project supported workforce development, with more than 20 technicians advancing their careers through skills progression into new roles.
    Rasmus Ravn said: “We are extremely proud of the team and the collaboration behind Greater Changhua 2. Delivering to schedule on a new turbine platform is a significant achievement and a proof of the professionalism and dedication of everyone involved.”
    GWS said the completion reinforces its growing position in the Asia-Pacific offshore wind market and underlines its commitment to quality and safety on complex global projects.
    The company said it is a leading provider of installation and service solutions with a track record in offshore and onshore projects.
