Developer agrees deal for 100% ownership of 2.9GW floating wind portfolio
Nadara has completed a deal to buyout BlueFloat Energy from the developers’ UK partnership comprising four Scottish floaters.
The transfer of the latter’s stake in the 2.9GW portfolio was first revealed earlier this month by
, following reports in the summer that BlueFloat owner Quantum Capital Group had decided to cease operations at the Spain-based outfit.
Nadara said the acquisition of its former partners’ 50% shareholding in the 1.8GW Bellrock, 900MW Broadshore, 100MW Sinclair and 100MW Scaraben projects demonstrated its ongoing commitment to bring the ScotWind and INTOG schemes online by the mid-2030s.
It is understood the 1.5GW Stromar floater will continue under its existing ownership structure with Nadara, BlueFloat Energy and Orsted owning a third each.
