Project in Galati County was divested to Helleniq Renewables
OX2 has begun construction of the 96MW Ansthall wind farm in Gala?i County, Romania.
The company said the project will feature 15 Vestas turbines and is expected to generate 309GWh a year.
OX2 added that Ansthall will produce enough clean energy to power about 89,000 homes annually and avoid around 99,000 tonnes of CO? each year.
The project was divested in August 2025 to Helleniq Renewables and is backed by a 12-year power purchase agreement with Ahold Delhaize.
“This project shows how fast Romania’s renewable momentum is accelerating and OX2 is proud to help drive it,” said Lacramioara Diaconu-Pintea, vice-president and country manager OX2 Romania.
OX2 said it now has two projects under construction and a 1.1GW portfolio, representing a third of all wind projects under way in Romania.
