    OX2 buys 235MW Romanian wind trio

    Future Power deal lifts portfolio above 1.1GW

    OX2 has acquired three onshore wind projects in Romania totalling 235MW from Future Power.
    The developer said the schemes are located in Vaslui and Vrancea counties and are expected to be commissioned between 2028 and 2030 subject to permitting.
    The acquisition increases OX2’s Romanian portfolio to more than 1.1GW, according to the company.
    OX2 added that it is also progressing further wind projects in Constan?a, Br?ila and Gala?i counties.
    “The transaction with Future Power marks another step forward in OX2’s business development strategy in Romania,” said L?cr?mioara Diaconu-Pin?ea, vice president and country manager of OX2 Romania.
    “We continue to grow by developing solid, bankable projects with clear commissioning timelines, which will attract new investors to Romania,” added Diaconu-Pin?ea.
    The company’s portfolio in Romania includes nine onshore wind projects totalling 195MW under construction and 766MW in development, as well as 150MW of solar and BESS projects.
    OX2 said it completed transactions with Nala Renewables for 99MW and HELLENiQ Renewables for 96MW in 2024 and 2025.
